24-hour blood pressure monitoring in Munich

Modern blood pressure diagnostics for more accurate risk assessment

High blood pressure is one of the most important risk factors for heart attack, stroke and vascular disease.

The problem: it often causes no symptoms for years. Many people feel perfectly well – while their heart, blood vessels and organs have long been under strain.

At the Cardiology Centre Munich-Pasing, we offer modern 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. Alongside conventional devices, we also offer cuff-free monitoring. Blood pressure is measured by a sensor on the finger – comfortably, over 24 hours.

After all, good diagnostics should not only be precise – they should also fit easily into everyday life.

What is 24-hour blood pressure monitoring?

24-hour blood pressure monitoring measures your blood pressure at regular intervals over an extended period – usually 24 hours.
This gives a much more comprehensive picture than single readings taken at the practice.

Frequently asked questions about 24-hour blood pressure monitoring at the Cardiology Centre Munich-Pasing

It is useful if high blood pressure is suspected, if readings fluctuate, in cases of dizziness or circulatory problems, and to monitor existing treatment. “White coat hypertension” (raised readings only at the doctor’s) can also be assessed more precisely.

You wear a cuff on your upper arm connected to a small recorder for 24 hours. During the day, readings are usually taken every 15 to 30 minutes, and less often at night. Alternatively, we offer cuff-free devices that measure blood pressure via a finger sensor.

No. It is your normal daily routine that provides the most useful information.

Night-time readings provide valuable information for assessing individual risk. Raised readings at night can, for example, point to sleep apnoea.

As the name suggests, the monitoring usually runs for 24 hours.
