Doctor using ultrasound to check the arteries for plaque (atherosclerosis)
From the research5 Oct 2026

Detecting arterial plaque early: already common in young adults

A new study of almost 17,000 adults without symptoms found arterial plaque in (men / women):

  • Age 18–29: 8.7% / 6.7%
  • Age 30–39: 34.6% / 21.3%
  • Age 40–49: 66% / 48%

That is why an early heart check-up matters, so that potential risks can be addressed in time.

Why patients trust us:

We practise medicine in line with the latest research, so that new scientific findings reach our patients quickly.

We regularly attend national and international cardiology congresses. Dr. Schneider has also completed specialised studies in gender-specific medicine at the University of Zurich. Prof. Dr. Ledwoch is a sought-after speaker at cardiology conferences and regularly publishes his research in medical journals.

State-of-the-art equipment and digital processes enable structured prevention and help us identify the causes of heart disease – for targeted, lasting treatment.

We investigate heart disease thoroughly and systematically, analysing every possible cause.
This means we don’t just treat symptoms – we address what is really causing them.

We go beyond the standard check-up, focusing on actively maintaining your health and longevity.

Together, we develop a long-term strategy for your heart health and quality of life (health span). The focus is not on optimising numbers, but on sound, lasting support for your fitness, well-being and heart health.
